Privacy
What this page collects, and what happens to it.
This page covers pay.greatsouthlanddesign.com.au, which exists for one job: taking card payments from Great South Land Design clients. It is a short policy because the site does very little.
What we ask you for
Before you go to the card screen we ask for your name, your email address, and a reference - your website address or your invoice number. We don't ask for a postal address, a date of birth or anything else.
The contact form on the home page asks for your name, email, website address, an optional phone number, and your message. It is only there so you can ask us something, and what you send goes to us by email and is kept in this website's control panel.
The name and email are collected on this page rather than on the card screen for one reason: if you start a payment and don't finish it, we can see that somebody tried and ring you, instead of seeing an anonymous half-payment and doing nothing about it.
Your card details
We never see your card number. The card form is Stripe's own and runs on Stripe's page. This website has no card field, no card storage and no way to charge your card by itself. When you set up a recurring payment, the arrangement lives with Stripe and we ask them to take it.
Stripe is our payment processor. What they collect and how they use it is covered by their own privacy policy at stripe.com/au/privacy. Stripe tells us your name, your email, the amount, and the country your card was issued in. It doesn't tell us your card number.
What we do with it
We use it to work out who has paid us what, to send you a receipt, and to answer you if you get in touch about a payment - that's the whole list.
We don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to anybody for marketing. We don't add you to a mailing list from a payment. The only people who see it are Anthony and the person who does our books.
Where it's kept, and for how long
Payment records are held in this website's control panel and in Stripe. Both sit behind logins that only we have.
We keep them for at least five years, because Australian tax law requires us to keep records of what we have been paid. After that we are free to delete them and generally do.
Messages sent through the contact form are not payment records and are not kept nearly that long. We delete them once whatever you wrote in about is sorted out.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets a session cookie so the forms work, and nothing else. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no profiling. Stripe sets its own cookies on Stripe's pages, which is out of our hands and covered by their policy.
The contact form is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which is there to stop bots. Checking it means Cloudflare is told your IP address and sets a cookie of its own. We never see or keep that address, and Cloudflare's own policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy covers what they do with it.
Asking us about your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it once we are past the five years above. Ring Anthony on 0419 169 550 or email anthony@greatsouthlanddesign.com.au and we'll sort it out. There's no form to fill in.
If something has gone wrong and you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
